Digital Media Guided Tour

Using the Finger Lakes Library System is easy! If you need help, here's a quick guided tour created by OverDrive, the company that provides downloadable service for us and many other libraries. The guide walks you through the basics, from getting started to downloading to burning to a CD. In just a few minutes, even the newest user can be enjoying a downloaded title.

As the guide is not library specific, there are a few things in it which do not apply to the Finger Lakes Library System:

You may have a maximum of 3 titles checked out from the Digital Library.
Downloaded Audio Book titles are checked out for 7 days and are automatically returned to the library.
Downloaded Music titles are checked out for 7 days and are automatically returned to the library.
Downloaded eBook titles are checked out for 14 days and are automatically returned to the library.
The Finger Lakes Library System does not currently offer video downloads (we may offer this in the future).
